Of all the problems at Chelsea, few are as significant as Maurizio Sarri’s striking dilemma. The Blues have a number of brilliant players at the club, but their forwards are, at present, not doing well enough.
Neither Olivier Giroud or Alvaro Morata have been able to get close to their expected goalscoring tallies so far this season, and nothing they’ve done so far has indicated that that will change.
That’s an issue for the club, as it’s fair to say that not having a top forward could be the difference between challenging for the title and falling short, especially when comparing many of the Blues’ rivals.
Unsurprisingly, then, Chelsea fans want this to change, and in January, they’re calling for a major attacking signing. In particular, they want Inter Milan man Mauro Icardi to join the club. The Argentine has been in fine form over the years, and he has started the season well yet again.
