The South American is rarely the story for Chelsea but regularly the contributor. He goes about his business quietly, gets the job done and makes little fuss.
It is perhaps his understated nature which often sees the common football fan overlook his qualities; the very qualities that saw Barcelona reportedly try and sign him this summer.
Willian’s assists to goals ratio for the Blues is perfectly balanced. 54 goals and the very same amount of assists in 301 appearances for the west London outfit, per Transfermarkt, is a solid return from six seasons at Stamford Bridge, too.
This season alone, the former Shakhtar Donetsk forward has notched two goals and an assist in six starts for Chelsea and his efforts have not gone unnoticed from a proportion of Blues fans, who have made it clear that they want to see the Brazilian offered a new deal by the club.
