The Daily Express are the talk of the Football Transfer Tavern – well for Chelsea fans at least – as they think that the Blues now have a clear path to land Atletico Madrid star Koke.
According to the publication, given Barcelona have now pulled out of the race to land the creative star, Jose Mourinho and his board will take full advantage and make a £44 million bid for the Spaniard.
Not only has Koke shown what he can do for Atletico Madrid but he has also excelled for the Spanish national team and was a key part in their win over the Ukraine in their last qualifier.
We are not too sure what Jose Mourinho plans on doing with Cesc Fabregas if he does land Koke – maybe he can ask Koke to come on loan each year from January when Cesc goes missing!
