Metro have Chelsea fans looking over to the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Blues are ready to swoop for Douglas Costa.
As one of our punters notes, we cannot imagine a transfer window without Jose Mourinho making a move for some kind of creative star and this time Shakhtar Donetsk’s Costa seems to be the lucky man.
After making it very clear over the last couple of transfer windows that he had his eye on not just a move to the Premier League but more specifically to Stamford Bridge, it seems Costa’s dreams are finally set to come true as we approach the summer.
The forward is versatile and can play in a number of attacking positions but as our punters note, it is hardly like Chelsea are short of options up top and we think that at least one player will have to make way if Costa was to join.
