The Daily Mirror have Chelsea fans putting down their pints and crowding around the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think Jose Mourinho is eyeing a move for Andre Gomes.
The Valencia star shares an agent with Mourinho, Jorge Mendes, and as our regulars note over a beer and burger at the bar, the Blues will have to splash the cash if they want to land the star.
Currently Mourinho is thought to be willing to pay £26 million to secure the services of Gomes, but the player’s buyout clause currently stands at £36 million – and Valencia are well versed in not only selling their best players but also getting the maximum amount of cash possible for them.
