Chelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern have mixed views after seeing the news from the Daily Star, that the Blues are set to offload Filipe Luis in return for Atletico Madrid ace Koke.
The Manchester United target has been a pivotal player in Atletico Madrid’s recent successes, and played a key part in them becoming La Liga champions last year.
Filipe Luis has struggled for first-team action since joining Chelsea in the last summer transfer window from Atletico, he has often been ousted by Cesar Azpilicueta in Mourinho’s starting XI.
A bunch of Chelsea fans over by the bar inside the Transfer Tavern really don’t know what to make of the news, with some feeling it would be an astute swap deal, as Luis is simply not in Mourinho’s first-team plans at the moment.
Whereas other Blues fans in the Transfer Tavern feel that it would be pointless letting Luis go after just one season, and feel he hasn’t been given a fair crack at the whip!
