Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot believe how good their side has been this season and they cannot wait to see their side lift the Premier League trophy in due course.
The Blues have been flying this season and Antonio Conte deserves great credit for the amount of work he has done in his first Premier League campaign.
The Italian’s 3-4-3 system has worked an absolute treat and, as yet, no-one has really managed to work it out – as proven by the fact the club are so far ahead in the standings.
Summer, then, will be a crucial time for the club to try and retain their dominance of the rest of the division and whilst signing players is going to be important, keeping them will be just as much.
And, as quoted by The London Evening Standard, it appears that Thibaut Courtois will not be going anywhere.
The Belgian stopper said when asked about a potential move:
“No [I’m not planning on a transfer]. I am enjoying the success here and I am focused.”
Good news, then, Chelsea fans, as the tall stopper can be world class on his day, though it really does remain to be seen if he sticks to his word.
