You certainly can’t really back against them either, at the moment, with them still four points clear in the Premier League title race and looking good for the FA Cup as a final with Arsenal awaits.
The Blues, then, have had a very good season and the challenge in the summer will be regarding how they build on that in terms of signing players.
Of course, it remains to be seen who the club actually brings in but, according to The Daily Mail, Ryan Bertrand could be a target.
The England international, of course, played for Chelsea earlier on his career and was part of their Champions League winning side but ended up at Southampton in a bid for more game-time.
He has impressed there, too, and so it could just be that the Blues go in for another former player once the summer transfer window opens up for business.
