Pedro had a slow start to life at Stamford Bridge, but his performances in recent weeks have really picked up.
The Spanish winger scored the opener against Man Utd at the weekend, and after a spell out of the first team – it would appear as though he has regained his place in the Chelsea first team.
His return, however, comes after a prolonged spell on the sidelines for the Blues – and the Spaniard has now revealed, via the Sun, that he did consider a move away in the summer, and has confirmed that he held talks with Barcelona about a move.
According to the Sun, Pedro said: “I talked with Bartomeu [FC Barcelona’s President]”.
He continued: “But it was given more importance than the conversation merited.”
The Spaniard also confirmed that he is happy at Chelsea: “I am happy with the playing time I am getting…It is always good to play your part and help the team”
There was a spell last season in which Pedro was not all that involved with the Chelsea first team, though that has changed this season.
The Spaniard impressed against both Leicester and Man Utd – and Willian will have a tough task on his hands attempting to renegotiate his way into the Chelsea starting XI.
