The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have spent far longer discussing players that could move to Stamford Bridge – rather than those that might be leaving…
It’s only natural after all, given that Chelsea have enjoyed a stellar start to the 2016/17 campaign – having far exceeded the expectations of anyone in the Tavern.
At this point, it appears unlikely that any Chelsea players would be inclined to leave the club – but that seemingly isn’t going to stop a few clubs from trying…
According to Foot Mercato, Olympique Lyonnais, or Lyon, are keeping tabs on Chelsea starlet Bertrand Traore – after watching the youngster play in a game a couple of weeks ago.
Traore is currently on loan with Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie – and was reportedly watched by Lyon scouts as Ajax took on AZ Alkmaar on the 6th of November, a game in which Traore bagged a goal.
Chelsea’s decision to loan out Traore at the start of the season was a very surprising one for the Blues in the Tavern, given that the Burkina Faso forward had impressed within the Chelsea first team last season. He appeared well trusted by both Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink – though it seems that Antonio Conte felt somewhat differently.
Traore has enjoyed a good spell in the Netherlands thus far, having made 10 league starts – scoring 3 league goals in the process.
