Comolli Kicks In Reds Negotiating For A £7M Rated Winger & A £7M Rated Midfielder

The names in the frame are Dimitri Payet and Blaise Matudi.

Aside from Liverpool fans, sports desk editors across the nation must be praying Matudi is signed. The pair were of course on the Anfield radar long in advance of Damien Comolli’s arrival but the Frenchman has history of course with Saint-Etienne.

These would be classic pieces of Comolli business in that these are two players that would be exciting prospects. But I can’t help but wonder given Liverpool’s shaky start to the season that they could do with some new recruits who were ready to go.
