Liverpool fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are heading over to the bar to see an article from the Express, that claims that Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto is a summer transfer target for Liverpool.
The agent of the 25-year-old goalkeeper has spoken out and says that Liverpool are one of the clubs who are vying for the signature of the highly-rated Brazilian ace.
Neto’s agent, Stefano Castagna told Gazzetta TV: “The only thing that is official is that Neto will not be staying in Florence.
“Since Feb. 1, when it became possible to talk to other clubs, we’ve been evaluating offers that are interesting for the lad, in England, Germany and Spain in addition to Italy.
“One of those in England is Liverpool, and then there is a top Spanish club interested in him. Right now, the lad has to make a well pondered decision for his career.
“He’s young and he’s grown a great deal, but even when he was 18 he was one of the best in Brazil.”
Neto has been in fantastic form for the Italian club this season, and his superb displays have seen him earn interest from a number of clubs.
The 6ft 3 goalkeeper has been at Fiorentina since 2011, and he has gone on to accumulate over 60 appearances for the Serie A club
