The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been sweating on the fitness of Pedro over the last few days…
He suffered an injury against Arsenal during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Asia, and was forced off the pitch during the gane.
Pedro delivered an update on the matter via social media, in which he eased fears – but according to Antonio Conte’s latest update, the situation is slightly worse than anticipated.

As confirmed on Chelsea’s official Twitter page, Conte has revealed in his latest media briefing that Pedro’s injury is worse than first thought – with the Spaniard suffering a number of facial fractures. The good news, though, is that the Spaniard should be available to play again within 10 days – with the help of a protective mask.

It’s a frustrating turn of events for the Blues, with the entire concept of a friendly based around avoiding injuries and unnecessary conflicts, but such is the rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal – that could not be avoided.
Still, with several weeks to go until the start of the Premier League season, Pedro is likely to be more than ready for the start of the Premier League season.
The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are pretty pleased about this, as many of them were fearing the worst.
