Conte must ask Abramovich to seal these 2 transfers tomorrow for Chelsea

With just over 24 hours to go until the Premier League transfer window slams shut, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Antonio Conte is able to secure a few more deals…

Chelsea may have made a decent start to the season, but anything can change in the second-half of the campaign – and one poor run could spell disaster for Antonio Conte’s men.

For the most part, Chelsea’s squad is well balanced. Defensively, Conte is stocked – especially with the return of Nathan Ake – whilst the midfield is also filled to the brim with talent.

However, Antonio Conte does have a dilemma to solve with his strikers – with Diego Costa, seemingly, the only trusted option – and with Asmir Begovic touted with a move away – Conte must ensure that the Blues aren’t cut short by his departure.

There is still time for Chelsea to get a few deals done, and Conte must ask Abramovich to seal these 2 transfers tomorrow for Chelsea…

 Craig Gordon

Asmir Begovic looks set to leave Chelsea, and it is absolutely essential that the Blues bring in an adequate replacement.

Gordon could be the perfect man for the job, given his current circumstances. At 34-years-old, he is an experienced hand, and that is exactly what Chelsea need in a backup.

He has also performed well for Celtic lately, and has been a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans at Celtic Park.

Chelsea’s backup goalkeeper is only ever 1 injury away from playing regularly – and they must be good enough, and Gordon most certainly is.

 Fernando Llorente

It’s all gone quiet on the Llorente-front over the last few days, but the more you think about it, the more a deal for the Swansea forward makes sense.

Batshuayi, despite scoring at the weekend, did look poor – and if Costa gets injured, Conte needs a striker upon which he can rely.

Llorente has been scoring regularly for an otherwise very poor Swansea City side – and you would expect his record to get better when playing with better players.
