Conte must utilise these 3 young stars for Chelsea next season – Agreed?

Not only is Antonio Conte being tasked with rebuilding a crumbling Chelsea side, it is also expected that he focus heavily on the youth system at Chelsea.

Despite dominating development leagues and competitions over the last few years, Chelsea youngsters have largely failed to solidify any sort of role in the first team; and this is something that needs to change.

Last season was a bit of a breakout for the some of the youngsters. Despite years of getting no action, three names in particular were singled out by the board as players with the most potential.

Whilst a couple of them were not from the youth systems; at this point the Chelsea board simply want the club to build and develop a player on their own, instead of spending huge sums of money to buy them once they are already great players.

With that, here are THREE young Chelsea stars that MUST play next season……

Kenedy

Signed in June 2015, Kenedy burst onto the scene last season and formed a reputation of being an excellent left sided utility player for the Blues.

Despite typically being a left winger, he was forced into a left back role a number of times during the season, and he looked very comfortable doing so.

If the 20 year old continues to develop at the rate that he has been doing so far; the sky is the limit.

That utility is something that typically money cant buy; especially given the huge defensive problems that Chelsea have been having recently.

Conte must give him a chance; and he will almost certainly prove that his £6 million fee was a bargain.

Bertrand Traore

Bertrand Traore is a strange case. Despite signing in 2013, many Chelsea fans hadn’t heard of the youngster until this season.

He had a staring roles in Chelsea’s pre-season, but was then last season farmed out to Vitesse in the Dutch where he began to make a name for himself.

After scoring nearly 20 goals for the club, Chelsea saw fit to bring the youngster back to the Bridge this season, with Mourinho claiming that he had everything to become a first teamer.

Despite Mourinho now leaving, Traore has impressed in his limited role, and certainly deserves more of a chance next season.

Conte must give him a go in his preferred number 9 position. Chelsea have been struggling up top for a while now; and Traore offers a perfect mix of power and pace.

More games could do wonders for this Burkina Faso international.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Loftus-Cheek is the academy’s golden boy.

After impressing in the youth system, Loftus-Cheek was given a run out by Jose Mourinho during his tenure, looking comfortable if unimpressive during his opening games.

He has since played largely a bit part role in the side, yet has cropped up with a number of important goals and has looked very solid in the Chelsea midfield.

If anyone is going to make it from the Chelsea youth system; it HAS to be Ruben.

He has everything; the build, pace, power, technical ability. All it will take is a manger to give him a run of games in the first team.

Conte has done it before with Paul Pogba, and if he see’s the same level of quality in Ruben; he can become a world beater.
