The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are still in dreamland after their side smashed Atletico Madrid on Wednesday…

It was a game that nobody was expecting Chelsea to win, but in truth the Blues dominated their opposition. In stark contrast to the two side’s last meeting, Chelsea went to Spain with the intention of winning – and in they end they completed that objective.

It might have taken until the last kick of the game, but Chelsea deserved to be on top for their performance throughout the 90 minutes, with key men including Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata and Cesar Azpilicueta all putting in characteristically impressive performances.

That said, Chelsea must now change their thinking and focus on their next game against Man City. It will be every bit as challenging as the Atletico Madrid game, but will require a different level of thinking and tactical planning, and that could mean that a few players are changed for the game.

More specifically, a couple of players that played against Atletico Madrid could miss out.

With that said, Conte should drop these 2 players against Man City – agreed?

 Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill was decent against Atletico Madrid, but he’s still some way off finding his best form.

He had a couple of risky moments that Chelsea were able to get away with, but they might not be so lucky against Man City.

With players like Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in the attack, the Blues must be rock solid at the back, and at present Cahill just isn’t reliable enough.

Perhaps Antonio Rudiger could get another chance.

 Victor Moses

Despite their offensive solidity, Man City do often struggle at the back, and the Blues should look to take advantage of that.

Thus, Moses – though naturally an attacking midfielder – could miss out. The Nigerian has become more efficient defensively than offensively, and so this game could demand another option. More specifically, it could demand Davide Zappacosta.

The little Italian proved his quality against Qarabag, and is undoubtedly good enough to feature against the Citizens.

Moses has been decent, but he has been far from spectacular. Time for a change.
