The Champions League is back, and the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t be more excited…
It’s Europe’s best competition, and this year’s tournament offers the Blues a chance at redemption. They weren’t involved last term, and so their stock on a global scale has certainly reduced. It’s time for Antonio Conte to put that right.
Antonio Conte has been given a tough hand in the group stages, with tough trips to Atletico Madrid and Roma both on the cards – but first up is a home game against Qarabag.
They’re a bit of an unknown quantity, and so they will pose a threat, but as the weakest side in Chelsea’s group, the game this evening represents a chance for the Blues to try something new.
The Blues’ squad is thin, and so if a few players go down with injuries, young players could be called upon – and they must be match ready.
With that said, Conte should give these 2 Chelsea youngsters a chance vs Qarabag tonight – agreed?…
Charly Musonda

Charly Musonda is on the edge of the Chelsea first team, and he definitely deserves a chance.
He’s one of very few young players to be given a chance in the first team squad, and he must take the chance if he is given it.
With Hazard not at 100% and Pedro in need of a rest, an attack made up of both Musonda and Willian makes sense.
His technique and trickery will give Qarabag nightmares.
Andreas Christensen

Andreas Christensen is a youngster on paper, but his CV speaks volumes about his quality.
In fact, he’s somewhat of a Champions League veteran – having played in the competition for Borussia Monchengladbach – and so he deserves a chance in this game.
He hasn’t had many opportunities in the Premier League, but they will eventually come – and he needs to get game ready against Qarabag.
Perhaps David Luiz can have a rest.
