Chelsea are going well in the Premier League and after this weekend’s thrashing of Everton, their supporters in the Tavern are feeling more optimistic than ever!

The Blues absolutely destroyed the Toffees at Stamford Bridge in a real show of dominance, and it was a display that made their Premier League rivals really stand up and take notice.

But in a week where Liverpool seriously stepped up their own title credentials with a crushing win against Watford, it became more and more clear that teams will need as much quality as possible in their ranks.

With the international break upon us we want to take a look at whether any of the Euro 2016 winners might slot nicely into this Chelsea side.

There was some serious quality in that team and we think a couple of players would really suit things down at the Bridge.

So with that in mind, here’s 2 Portuguese players Conte should look to sign in January…

Rafa Silva

Benfica midfielder Rafa Silva was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the standout players over in France and his quality was clear to see.

The former Braga wide man was in scintillating form, running at defences and really contributing as his side won an unlikely title.

He’s just returning from an injury which has ruled him out for a couple of months and when he’s back fit again – he’s a player Chelsea should definitely be keeping an eye on.

Andre Gomes

As expected, Andre Gomes has had to play second fiddle for most of this season whilst at Barcelona and he’s a man that Conte should definitely consider for a move in January.

Again, he was a part of the Portugal team that won the European Championship over the summer and he really controlled the midfield.

His vision is superb, and as we saw with his time at both Benfica and Valencia – he has the quality to keep stepping up to the highest level.

Chelsea will need plenty of depth if they are to be successful this season and Gomes would be a fantastic addition to the squad.
