Chelsea are flying high towards the top of the Premier League, and their fans here in the Tavern are absolutely delighted.
Despite a tough start to the campaign which saw Conte come under fire at Stamford Bridge, he’s turned things around – and the Blues are now looking like contenders for the Premier League title.
Their 5-0 win over Everton was a testament to that and even our pub landlord didn’t see such a result going their way!
It was a showing of pure dominance but if anything, it showed how much quality Chelsea have throughout their entire squad.
But with the January transfer window on the horizon, coupled with the African Cup of nations, we want to take a look to see if any African strikers would improve the Chelsea ranks.
So with that in mind, Conte simply has to sign these 2 African strikers in January…
Cédric Bakambu
Quite possibly one of the most underrated African strikers in the game is Cédric Bakambu, who plays in Spain with Villarreal.
He spent his earlier years with Sochaux in France and Bursaspor in Turkey but now – he’s very much the key man for Villarreal.
Whether he’d feature week-in, week-out for Chelsea is to be seen but with Diego Costa still being mooted with a move away from Stamford Bridge by our punters – more striking reinforcements wouldn’t be a bad thing in the slightest.
Keita Baldé Diao
Senegalese forward Keita Baldé Diao is a young prospect playing for Lazio in Italy and it’s safe to say he’s one of the most promising young forwards in their ranks.
He’s quick, direct and going forward – lightning quick. And at just 21-years-old, there’s plenty of time for the former Barcelona youth prospect to continue his development.
Chelsea are a club that have developed some of the world’s best young talent and there is little doubt Keita would thrive at the Bridge too.
