Spanish strikers are the flavour of the month amongst the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, with both Diego Costa & Alvaro Morata discussed both often and loudly in our bar.
The latter looks like leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, while the latter is set to become his big name replacement in west London as Antonio Conte freshens up his frontline.
Whether or not Morata will eventually prove to be an upgrade on his compatriot really does remain to be seen, with Costa having led the Blues to two league titles in his three years there.
Indeed, interestingly enough, many Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to dream about a potential partnership between the countrymen! Now, Costa is strongly touted for an exit, though the idea of the two pairing up certainly has provided a talking point.
Imagine if the Costa situation is all a ruse and we end up playing 3-5-2 with Costa and Morata upfront. #CFC

We could end up with Costa and Morata up front in a 3-5-2. That would be d ultimate italian job #CFC

I hope Conte calms down and gives Costa another chance in the team. Morata and Costa together can be lethal #CFC

Don't know why everyone assumes it's Morata in and Costa out. Man U treble winning 99 side had Yorke, Cole, Sheringhan and Solskjaer. #CFC

Despite the Costa-Conte drama. Who wouldn’t want to see a Costa-Morata partnership up top? @ChelseaFC #CFC
