The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting big things from Ruben Loftus-Cheek…
At just 20-years-old, Loftus-Cheek has the potential to become one of the best players in England, as he has shown on numerous occasions in recent years.
Brought into the Blues’ first team by Jose Mourinho, the midfielder has impressed whenever he has played for Chelsea – but under Antonio Conte, his game time has reduced significantly.
Often unable to gain a regular foothold in the Blues’ first team, Loftus-Cheek has even fallen behind Nathaniel Chalobah in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
However, his quality remains clear to see, and the midfielder proved that once again earlier this week whilst on international duty. Picking up a brace for England’s under-21 side, Loftus-Cheek showed Conte exactly what he could bring to the table at Stamford Bridge – and the Blues in the Transfer Tavern were absolutely delighted.
With many in the pub touting him as the perfect partner for N’Golo Kante, the Chelsea fans on Twitter offered a very similar reaction – with many questioning why he hasn’t been given more of a chance.
Its funny how long I've been begging Loftus-Cheek to get some PT and everyone is just noticing how good he is. Ruben>Iheanacho+Alli+Everyone

Ruben Loftus-Cheek/Kante should be Chelsea's midfield two in a season or so. He shoule be able to supersede Nemanja Matic. #CFC

Chelsea need to give Loftus-Cheek some game time. They never bring anyone through.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be as good as Dele Alli or even better. But Chelsea prefer to buy Bakayoko, a similar player, for 40 million…
