Crystal Palace supporters in the Transfer Tavern have been somewhat quieter in recent times after seeing their side suffer a second successive Premier League defeat last time out.
Roy Hodgson’s men went into their clash with Watford on Sunday off the back of losing 2-0 to Liverpool in their previous league encounter, albeit they produced a very spirited display against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Selhurst Park. Yet they weren’t able to get back to winning ways last time out as goals from Roberto Pereyra and Jose Holebas set the Hornets on their way to all three points, and although Wilfried Zaha got one back for the visitors late on, it wasn’t enough to inspire an Eagles comeback.
As such, there have been many disappointed Palace fans up and down the country in recent times, although several have been thrilled with the news that defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has earned a call-up to the England Under-21 squad.

The 20-year-old has come up through the ranks at the London club and made seven appearances for Hodgson’s side last term, but it has been the early stages of this season in which the right back has really shone to thus deservedly earn a place in Aidy Boothroyd’s squad for the Under-21s’ matches against the Netherlands and Latvia.
And his inclusion in the Three Lions squad, having never before made it into the Under-21 set-up, has stimulated quite a response from Palace fans on Twitter, with many actually suggesting that Wan-Bissaka has been hard done by in not earning a senior call-up…
Should’ve been the senior team

Might have got a call up but for the sending off, Gareth left soon after that. Can’t see anyone else he was there to see. Henderson he knows and Lalana got 10 minutes
