A lot of Crystal Palace fans are enjoying rewatching highlights of a great victory away at Stoke in the Premier League which confirmed the club’s safety for another season in England’s top flight.
The Eagles came away with a hard fought 2-1 win two seasons ago on the 5th May 2018, via BBC Sport. It was a difficult situation for the club to be in, as they were fighting to mathematically confirm safety but their opposition were also fighting for their lives to stay in the division too.
The bet365 Stadium erupted as Xherdan Shaqiri fired in a free-kick to give the Potters the lead just before half-time. However second half goals from James McArthur and Patrick Van Aanholt meant the Eagles returned to South London with three points.
It also meant that Stoke’s 10-year stay in the Premier League came to an end, via BBC Sport, and Van Aanholt’s goal against the Potters and also against Huddersfield last season have both been ones which have seen the opposition side be relegated, via TheBootRoom.
