It seems that England players are dropping like flys at the moment. Representing the Three Lions is an incredible achievement, and a few players are getting the opportunity to do so by virtue of those ahead of them suffering injury. This time, as Trent Alexander-Arnold has pulled out, Crystal Palace fans have been calling for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Out with one young impressive double-barreled surnamed right-back and in with another one. There is a really strong argument that suggests that even with Alexander-Arnold fully fit, Wan-Bissaka should be in the England squad. The 21-year-old has become a staple of the current starting lineup at Selhurst Park and more often than not he’s the shining light in what has proven to be a less-than-stable defence.
If the young Palace man did get that first elusive call-up then it would surely be the first of many. This season has seen the youngster post some incredible numbers. According to FPL, Wan-Bissaka is currently tied at the top of the leaderboards for successful tackles in the Premier League with an incredible figure of 109, level with Leicester City’s Wilfried Ndidi. If the youngster keeps going the way he is then that first call-up surely can’t elude him much longer, and the fans are desperate for the call.
