Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu on loan during the summer transfer window.

The Lowdown: Vieira looks to make his mark

Patrick Vieira arrived as the new Eagles manager earlier this month and he is of course now on the lookout for new signings ahead of next season.

The Eagles finished 14th in the Premier League in 2020/21, so an improved effort is required this time around as a new era begins at Selhurst Park.

One midfielder has already arrived in the shape of playmaker Michael Olise, and now it appears Vieira has another new face in his sights.

The Latest: Palace keen on Yokuslu

One player who Palace are reportedly interested in signing is Yokuslu, with Mundo Deportivo [via Sport Witness] claiming that they are keen on a loan move for the Turkey international.

Celta Vigo are more interested in selling the midfielder permanently this summer after he spent the second half of last season at West Brom, but no offers have arrived, in that respect.

The Verdict: Potential strong signing

Yokuslu could be a great addition to Palace's squad, possessing tenacity and quality in the middle of the park, not to mention 37 caps for Turkey and counting, showing his experience at the top level.

The 27-year-old also shone on loan at the Hawthorns last season, joining in the January transfer window and making 15 league starts, standing out despite their eventual relegation.

Yokuslu enjoyed impressive averages of 2.4 tackles and 2.2 interceptions per game for the Baggies - he also enjoyed an 82.5 percent pass completion rate - outlining his defensive qualities and showing what he could offer Palace on both sides of the ball.
