Plenty of Crystal Palace supporters have been reacting to a recent transfer report linking the Eagles with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

According to The Daily Express, Palace are plotting a summer move for Gallagher, as well as Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Gallagher down Chelsea pecking order, Palace lurking

The report claims that the 21-year-old, currently on loan at West Brom, would cost around £9m – which is his current Transfermarkt valuation.

Capable of playing as a defensive, box-to-box or attacking midfielder, Gallagher has made 24 appearances for the Baggies this season and could line up against Roy Hodgson’s side this weekend.

The youngster is way down the midfield pecking order at Stamford Bridge, however, The Daily Express claim that new manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to take a closer look at Gallagher before making a final call in the summer.

@cpfc_xtra shared the club’s links to Gallagher and Lundstram on social media on Wednesday morning.

"No chance we get Gallagher for £9m, kid’s different gravy, £15-20m absolute minimum. Would love him though, exactly what we need. As for Lundstram, we only really need him if McCarthy’s off. Not a bad player by any stretch but not necessarily what we need."

"Lundstram - No (although on a free is decent, squad rotation player) Gallagher - 100% yes!"
