Crystal Palace have made a straight loan offer for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

That’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who also added that United want his full salary covered. As to be expected, a number of Eagles fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

Patrick Vieira is yet to add to his squad during the January window but appears to be keen on taking Van de Beek to Selhurst Park until the end of the season. The 24-year-old is yet to start a Premier League match this season, featuring in just 68 minutes of top-flight action.

A number of clubs are interested in the midfielder, according to Romano, who revealed that Palace have made a ‘straight loan proposal’. United don’t want to include an option to buy in any temporary deal and want any club to cover the Dutchman's £120,000-a-week salary.
