‘Curtains for Jack Wilshere’ - Arsenal fans anticipate midfield transformation amid fresh reports

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Unai Emery can oversee a signifcant improvement in the quality of his squad this summer, and they have identified two midfielders who they believe would make a huge difference.

Emery has plenty of expectation resting on his shoulders as he oversees a significant transition period in Arsenal’s history into a post-Wenger era, and the supporters are expecting plenty of signings this summer to cement his personal stamp on the team.

With Jack Wilshere’s contract moving closer to expiry and doubts persisting over Aaron Ramsey’s future, it’s likely that Emery will dip into the transfer market for at least one new centre-midfielder in the coming months.

In recent days the Gunners have been linked with moves for both Adrien Rabiot and Jean Michael-Seri by the Daily Mirror and Sky Sports respectively, and so far the news has been greeted with huge optimism by the supporters on Twitter.

However, with Arsenal moving into a new era it seems that plenty of the supporters are prepared to say goodbye to Wilshere this summer in order to make way for new signings.

Although there are doubts about Rabiot’s conduct away from the field and Seri’s ability to replicate his form from Ligue 1 in the Premier League, the aforementioned pairing would be welcomed to the Emirates with open arms if the overall twitter reaction is anything to go by.
