Crystal Palace have started the season in fantastic form and have really got the Eagles supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern excited for what might lie ahead of them.
Palace cult hero Alan Pardew has really got the fans on his side and their form so far this season has allowed them to sit in the top half of the table at present.
One man who has been his typical energetic self is striker Dwight Gayle and the chaps in their new Eagles shirts by the pool table are drawn to an article on ESPN, which says the ex-Arsenal youngster could be rewarded with a new deal.
One fan is unsure how he feels about this emerging news and he said: “He simply doesn’t score enough goals to play week in week out in the Premier League and the club would be better off cashing in.”
His mate however simply doesn’t agree, and proudly declares: “I don’t care about his goal ratio, he works hard for his shirt every week and that is all I ask from the lads who are selected by the manager.”
