It’s been a busy morning for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, who have shed a surprising tear following reports Joe Allen could be on his way.
However, such is the nature of the ever churning rumour mill, the Reds propping up the bar have been handed a monumental £25m boost.
According to Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp has seen a bid accepted by Newcastle United for midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield for a number of weeks now, with arch rivals Everton and Tottenham Hotspur thought to also be interested.
Now, the 25-year old will travel to Merseyside to complete a medical and finalise his move from Tyneside, after just a year with the Toon Army.
While the Oranje international started life with the Magpies well, and finished as their top scorer, though his form was patchy and he proved powerless to stop their relegation.
Still, it represents a major profit for Rafa Benitez and company, who signed the player for £14.5m last term.
