The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of Adam Lallana. The 30-year-old midfielder has made just 15 appearances for Liverpool’s senior squad, although he’s only managed just over 450 minutes in those games. Injuries have limited the creative midfielder’s season and with the signing of Fabinho from Monaco being confirmed last night, the fans have been wondering if there’s still a place for the ex-Southampton man.
Adam Lallana’s fourth season at Anfield has been an extremely disappointing one. The attacking midfielder has shown that he’s a force to be reckoned with when he’s fit, both setting up and scoring goals with his finishing and passing range with both of his feet. However, there’s no questioning that his first three seasons were all much bigger successes than the campaign that’s just passed us.
At the age of 30, it’s unlikely that Lallana has more than one big contract left in him and with both Naby Keita and Fabinho coming to Anfield this summer, the midfield options are going to be severely competitive going into next year. Disappointments have been aplenty for Lallana, his lack of minutes have cost him a spot in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad being one of the most recent as he’ll have to reassess his options over summer ahead of the upcoming 2018/19 domestic season.

If we sign Fekir, when Ox is fit there’s no place for Lallana, I would sell him personally

We need to sacrifice and sell lallana to accormodate Fekir and Lemar

I'll keep Milner as a coach.
We better sell Lallana this season, not next season.
