It’s always a big talking point of the season when it comes around here in the Transfer Tavern and this year has been no different in light of the POTY nominations.
The Player of the Year awards are always going to create talking points as, with there only being six players available to be selected, many stars of the season miss out.
Indeed, some of the selections that do get made get plenty of criticism and, certainly, Twitter has been abuzz with reaction since the announcement earlier this morning.
The six players to get the nod are Eden Hazard, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Harry Kane, N’Golo Kante, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez – as revealed by Sky Sports on Twitter – and once that came to light, the reaction began.
