Derby County: Fans blast Duane Holmes after ‘awful’ display vs Millwall

During Derby County’s match against Millwall this afternoon, plenty of Rams fans were not impressed with the performance of attacking midfield ace Duane Holmes after a flurry of missed chances to threaten the Lions goal.

Holmes, who was substituted by interim boss Wayne Rooney mid-way through the second half, attracted criticism following what fans deemed to be an ‘awful’ performance.

The 26-year-old had chances to threaten the Millwall goal until he was taken off, including a shot which eventually went all the way out for a throw-in.

Rooney’s side went into half time at 0-0, eventually opening the scoring through fellow attacking midfielder Jason Knight – but supporters still had plenty to say regarding Holmes.

As a result, many Rams took to Twitter and destroyed his showing – with some fans even calling it ‘shocking’ and a ‘brain fade’ – find all of their verdicts from social media down below, where they took a moment away from celebrating to lambast Holmes’ display.
