The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that rumours linking Frank De Boer to the Rangers job in the summer are false. The Dutchman, who has been labelled as the worst manager in Premier League history by Jose Mourinho, had a calamity spell with Crystal Palace and remains unemployed. De Boer spent a season as a player with Rangers, and the fans wouldn’t mind seeing him make an Ibrox return.
Recent rumours of approach or contact with Frank de Boer have been confirmed as false.
Our understanding is there is no contact at this point and he is not on the boards immediate list for managers position

Pedro Caixinha was sacked as Rangers boss back in October, with Graeme Murty taking interim charge and then being formally appointed as manager until the end of the season. The club have supposedly been looking at options for managers to take over at the Glasgow club in the summer and until the rumour had been quashed, many fans wanted to see Frank De Boer take the reigns, despite his horror show at Crystal Palace at the start of the season.
47-year-old De Boer took charge of four Premier League games in his Crysta Palace career and picked up zero points, scoring zero goals. In De Boer’s defence, the Dutchman had been brought in to change the club’s style of football as they looked to play more sustainable football and ensure safety. Palace chairman, Steve Parish panicked with the club’s early season form and sacked De Boer, opting for the tried and tested Roy Hodgson to keep them up. Whoever Rangers do appoint, the fans will be hoping they get more of a chance than De Boer did at Selhurst Park as they aim to usurp Celtic as Scotland’s most impressive club.

Let's be honest we are no closer to appointing a manager than we were 6 months ago.

No contact I can handle. Not on the immediate list is worrying.
