The Liverpool supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern have been pretty satisfied with the team’s form of late and they are now extremely optimistic that the Reds can secure a return to the Champions League with a top four finish in the Barclays Premier League.

Those of a Liverpool persuasion who were present in the Transfer Tavern last Sunday were delighted to see the Reds secure a dogged 1-0 away win at West Bromwich Albion, with the race to secure a top four finish now firmly within the club’s grasp.

Several Liverpool supporters have gathered in the Tavern this morning ahead of the Reds’ game with Crystal Palace this afternoon and talk among the group has turned towards what team Jurgen Klopp will send out.

Our landlord was an interested bystander and he took time to take a look at two players who should be dropped from this afternoon’s proceedings.

Lucas

The Brazilian took up a position at the heart of the Liverpool back four last weekend and although he did okay at the Hawthorns he should be replaced by the more natural Ragnar Klavan this afternoon.

One Liverpool fan is supping a mug of tea and eating a bacon butty and he thinks that although Lucas has been a great servant for the club, he concedes that the club needs to look towards better squad players during the summer.

Divock Origi

The Belgian striker fired blanks once again at the Hawthorns last weekend and with Daniel Sturridge edging closer towards full fitness it seems only a matter of time before the England striker returns to the fold.

One Liverpool fan is having a game of pool here in the Tavern and he thinks that Sturridge is a much better option than Origi, stating that Klopp should focus his attention on getting the very best out of the ex-Chelsea man.
