Sunderland currently occupy second place in League One at the moment as Jack Ross looks to try and take them back into the Championship at the first time of asking.
The Black Cats have looked solid in their pursuit of chasing promotion to the second-tier of English League football, and it appears that they could have a key man back in the fold sooner rather than later.
Sunderland took to Twitter to post a video showing Duncan Watmore back in training which clearly shows him working hard to make a return to full fitness.

With his return to training, there will be a feeling that he could be back involved with the team just as the Stadium of Light’s schedule starts to get even busier.
Watmore has been an impressive player for the Black Cats, including during their Premier League campaign, and there will be a sense of excitement that he is verging on a return.

Watmore being back in action on the training field will definitely delight some of the club’s fans as there is a sense of optimism that he can be a real difference in their League One campaign.
The 24-year-old has been absent for a number of months with an injury, but it appears his long-awaited return could be close to happening.
Sunderland have not missed the attacker as such this season, with the likes of Josh Maja having shone for the Black Cats, however, Watmore’s return will be more than welcomed by those at the Stadium of Light.
