The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are still reeling from the events of Friday evening…
After impressing for much of the season, Chelsea finally sealed the Premier League title with victory at West Brom – with a last ditch winner from Michy Batshuayi enough to seal the three points that the club needed.
There has been a party atmosphere in the pub ever since, with fans of the club storming the Transfer Tavern in celebration.
Today there has been even more good news for the Blues, with the Premier League confirming the players that have been nominated for the Player of the Year award.
Expectedly, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante are featured on the list – but a surprise name also included on the list is Cesar Azpilicueta. Though Chelsea fans know how impressive he is, the defender often goes under the radar amongst viewers – rarely getting the credit that he deserves.
This season has arguably been his best yet, impressing in the heart of the Blues’ defence, leaving some of the Chelsea fans both in the pub and on Twitter convinced that he deserves to win the award…
