Liverpool fans in our Tavern are over the moon with the club’s recent update on injuries. Kopites will be particularly pleased to see former Southampton right-back, Nathaniel Clyne, back in contention to start. Clyne has been injured since July last year with a back injury that required him to undergo surgery. Fortunately for Clyne and for Liverpool though, the defender is back sooner than expected and could be involved in tomorrow’s huge Premier League clash.
Another relief for Liverpool will be the fitness of Andrew Robertson. The ex-Hull left-back has been in impressive form as of late and has nailed down the left side of Liverpool’s defence of his own, despite competition from Spaniard, Alberto Moreno and versatile midfielder, James Milner. Liverpool will need to strong at the back tomorrow as they go toe-to-toe with their biggest rivals in hope of snatching a 2nd place finish from United at the end of the season.
