The Spaniard has come to Stamford Bridge and made an immediate impact, scoring three goals this term already.
In truth, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t be happier, but this seemingly isn’t a judgement that is shared by all.
Eden Hazard, who himself made a first team return against Leicester City over the weekend, has been discussing Morata after the Spaniard bagged another goal at the weekend, and he has jokingly revealed one thing that he still wants to see from him – whilst also setting him a challenge.
According to Goal, Hazard said: “Like you saw, I saw he is a good player, I saw that he scores a lot with his head… now he needs to score with his feet!”.
Of course, Morata is yet to score or assist with his feet yet – instead contributing solely with his head thus far.
Chelsea won’t be complaining, given how important his goals have been this season – but it will be interesting to see how well he will do when he gets his shooting boots on too.
Landlord’s Verdict
Morata has taken to life at Chelsea like a duck to water. He has needed no adjustment period, and that’s just the start he needed in order to take the pressure off.
It’ll be a challenge to keep that run of goals going, but if he can start scoring with his feet – as Hazard is asking – then he might just become unstoppable.
