Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are buzzing after Metro explained how they could sign Manchester City’s recent saviour James Milner on a free transfer.
The Gunners could be close to signing the type of player they have been crying out for over the last couple of seasons.
The English international’s contract expires at the end of the season and despite there being talks of an extension, there appears to be other options on the table.
Those options could well be Arsenal and Liverpool who have supposedly offered the former Leeds United academy graduate a deal.
Arsenal have been looking a for player with Milner’s never-day-die attitude for years now whilst Liverpool see the versatile player as a perfect addition to join the club as they prepare for life without Steven Gerrard.
As the end of the season gets closer and closer, Milner is set to make his decision over the next few weeks so that he can focus on his football.
