‘Entire reputation should be eradicated’ - Man United fans react to last night’s thumping

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern were absolutely delighted with their emphatic away victory against high-flying Watford yesterday evening.

Jose Mourinho once again answered his strongest critics with a 4-2 victory over Marco Silva’s Watford at Vicarage Road. The pre-match narrative was dominated by the rise of Silva in the Premier League who has enjoyed a very impressive opening to his managerial career in the English top-flight since he took charge of Hull at the beginning of 2017.

Indeed, the former Greek Super-League winner has established a fantastic reputation in a very short space of time since he left Olympiacos to pursue his career in England.

Silva possesses an aura that suggests he has the ability to rise to the highest levels of the game in his career and as such, he has already been tipped to undertake position’s at Tottenham and Manchester United with less than a year’s experience in the Premier League.

Prior to Watford’s encounter with United last night, a handful of frustrated Red Devils were calling for Silva to succeed Mourinho at United in the near future.

Plenty of the United supporters remain disillusioned with their manager’s perceived negative style of football and view Silva’s attractive style of football as a more pleasing alternative.

However, United’s performance last night might just force those disgruntled supporters to withdraw their complaints for the foreseeable future and abandon their calls for Silva to replace Mourinho at the helm.
