Everton have struggled to impress in recent times as results continue to go against them in the Premier League, with their European hopes taking a bit of a hit.
The Toffees will need to go big once again in the current transfer window if they are to stand any chance of securing a European spot, as a number of other sides are also fighting for a place.
Indeed, it appears as if the Merseyside club are looking to strengthen in a big way, as according to A Bola (via HITC), Everton are willing to sign Bruno Fernandes.
It’s understood that Everton could be able to secure the services of the 24-year-old for around €40 million (35.92 million).
Although, fierce rivals Liverpool are also believed to be interested.
The attacking midfielder has shown that he can deliver quality performances in Europe, domestically and on the international stage in years gone by, and he currently has 14 goals and nine assists to his name this season.
THE VERDICT:
Bruno Fernandes, who is valued at £23.4 million (by Transfermarkt), has established himself as one of the hottest topics in Portugal, with goals and assists ever-present in his game.
The Toffees already have Gylfi Sigurdsson in their ranks, but Fernandes has provided far more valuable contributions this season, so he could prove to be a valuable asset.
