Everton: Club eyeing Leon Bailey alongside Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal

Everton are reportedly eyeing up Leon Bailey as they consider players who could possibly make move to join the Goodison Park faithful in the next summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, scouts from the Merseyside club, as well as Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal, will be watching the Bayer Leverkusen star in the UEFA Europa League, with both PSG and Inter Milan also monitoring how he does versus Slavia Prague.

Bailey was linked with a move to Spurs during the last transfer window but no move materialized and given that they continue to scout him, it looks like he’s still very much in their thoughts too.

As per the outlet, he has recently earned the praise of coach Peter Bosz, who said that he ‘ gets better with every game’.

Leverkusen reportedly refused to budge on their £36m valuation of the Jamaica international following a rejected offer from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, but his displays so far in the 2020/21 term may well even increase that valuation further.

What could Bailey offer Everton?

Bailey is known to be ‘incredibly fast’, which could give Carlo Ancelotti’s team a massive threat going forwards if the Toffees were to sign him either in January or in time for the start of the next season.

The fact that the 23-year-old has scored five goals and made a further six assists in 14 games in all competitions this campaign (Transfermarkt) also shows how deadly he can be when put through on goal.

With the added competition for his signature, the Blues should look to strike a deal as early as possible if they would like to sign the rapid winger.
