David Ornstein has said that Josh King is wanted by Everton ahead of the transfer deadline, with Anthony Gordon possibly being exchanged in a loan deal.
According to Ornstein’s round-up for The Athletic, the Goodison Park faithful have shown an interest in signing the AFC Bournemouth striker, and a deal could potentially be done before the deadline.
Everton should go all out for King
With the deadline ticking ever closer, the Merseyside club should go all out to bring in King. With no fewer than 80 senior goals combined for both club and country in his footballing career so far, the Norway international would be an ideal back-up for Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team are very short up front and to bring in King, especially with his added experience of playing in the Premier League, would be ideal for the Toffees as they look to qualify for European competition for the 2021/22 term.
Cherries manager Jason Tindall described the 29-year-old as a ‘real handful’ just last month, and he has certainly proved that before in the English top flight, scoring 48 times and supplying a further 15 assists in 161 games in total over five consecutive seasons (Transfermarkt).

Nonetheless, the Blues desperately need a forward, and King could well fit the bill.
