Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin may view moving to north London as a step down, says former England international Paul Stewart.
Calvert-Lewin is not currently being linked with a move to the Carabao Cup finalists; however, some have suggested that he could be a good option for them if they lose Harry Kane this summer.
The 24-year-old, though, is not a player Everton will want to lose. He was one of the leading strikers in the Premier League last season after scoring 16 goals in 33 appearances.

And even if the Toffees were open to a sale, Stewart is not too sure Calvert-Lewin would be too keen on the idea of joining Spurs in this moment of time.
“Calvert-Lewin at Everton. Would he leave Everton for Spurs? He may see that as a step down at the moment,” Stewart said in an exclusive interview with TT.
Indeed, there are a lot of ifs and buts. However, if Tottenham were to lose Kane, Calvert-Lewin is probably the kind of forward they should be looking at as a replacement.
The England international is Premier League proven, starting to become more prolific and is such an aerial threat, with WhoScored listing his heading ability as a strength.
