Everton certainly do not have a bad group of players at the club, however, they could certainly do with upgrading a number of areas in the summer transfer window.
Despite having made a number of significant additions in last year’s window, the Toffees still have areas that need improving and it appears they could be about to undertake another potentially expensive spending spree to bolster certain positions.

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Marcel Brands wants the club to recruit two new strikers, full-backs, a centre-back, midfielder and a back-up goalkeeper in the summer.
It is also states that Marco Silva’s future as the manager also remains in doubt, although no further details have been stated about his current situation.
The Verdict:
Everton need to make some excellent additions in the summer if they are to challenge for a European spot in next season’s Premier League campaign, and the areas that have been identified would definitely be areas that have caused concerns at times.
Signing strikers is a real obvious area that needs strengthening as the current options at Goodison Park have not been able to perform to an acceptable standard all year, with some of their players have been woeful, to say the least.
Oumar Niasse, Cenk Tosun and Sandro Ramirez have all tried to fill the void that Romelu Lukaku’s departure left, however, they have really struggled to even make any sort of impression with their performances.
The full-back positions could do with some work as well, especially on the right-hand side as Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny have failed to be of a necessary standard, although Lucas Digne has excelled on the left.
A centre-back makes sense with Kurt Zouma likely to return to Chelsea after his loan spell with the Toffees, whilst a midfielder also would not be a bad option to upgrade with Idrissa Gana Gueye’s future at Goodison Park seemingly unclear.
Everton already have Maarten Stekelenburg as their back-up to Jordan Pickford, but if they were able to find a suitable option that is younger than the veteran Dutchman, then it would also have to be considered a useful acquisition – although it may be more of a priority to solve the aforementioned positions before looking at a new shot-stopper.
Regardless of whether Silva will still be at the club beyond the summer, if the Toffees were able to make the required additions, there is nothing to say that they cannot be competing for a place in European football the following season.
