Lots of Everton fans have been left furious by some comments from Marco Silva after their defeat to Norwich, as he commented on the lack of pace in the side.
After what looked like the start of a possible turnaround in form for the Toffees at St. Mary’s, the last thing they needed was a woeful home performance against one of the worst sides in the Premier League.
That’s exactly what they got though, as Norwich City, who remain in the relegation zone even with Saturday’s win, romped to a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory at Goodison Park.
Silva’s side fell behind when Teemu Pukki supplied Todd Cantwell for the opening goal, and substitute Dennis Srbeny made sure the Canaries would be heading back home with three points, striking in stoppage time.
The pressure on Silva may now be the most intense it has been at any point during his tenure, and his comment after the match did little to quell the flames.
