Everton are likely to head into the transfer market in the winter to look for a new striker as goals from a frontman have become a little concern.
Marco Silva upgraded the majority of areas within his squad, however, he did not manage to bring in a new attacker to lead the line, with the likes of Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse still at Goodison Park as their recognised men.
Richarlison, who was added in the summer, has thrived in the role, however, he is likely wanted to sit a little further deeper by the Portuguese manager, which has led to speculation that they could act in January.
One man that has been recently rumoured with a possible move to the Toffees is Marko Arnuatovic, who has thrown his future into doubt at West Ham United.
Understandably, the frontman does come with his drawbacks, with price and age thought to be two particular factors to ponder, whilst attitude has been a concern in the past.
However, considering their options at the moment and unless there are any other possible targets, the Everton supporters are wrong to write a move off for the striker.
Arnautovic has proven to be a huge asset to West Ham since being at the London Stadium outfit club and has been extremely important to them.
The Austrian has proven Premier League experience and knows how to find the back of the net, something both Niasse and Tosun have struggled to do on a regular basis.
Arnautovic also showed that he could do that with limited support, whereas Everton have managed to add the likes of Bernard to help provide them with some more attacking threat in the final third of the pitch.
But, his versatility could also appeal to Silva, as it would give the Portuguese manager some further options up top as he can play either in the middle or out wide as a winger.
A number of big clubs have been linked with moves for Arnautovic in the past, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea all rumoured, so Everton could do a lot worse than making an offer for the Austrian.
