According to a claim from former global sports journalist and pundit Charles Stevenson, who has an excellent track record with Goodison rumours, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has become ‘frustrated’ with Toffees trio Bernard, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott – prompting some supporters to lash out in full agreement with the manager’s alleged feelings whilst also criticising the club as a whole.
The Italian manager took over from the sacked Marco Silva in late December, apparently so far not being impressed with the three stars – with all of them having a combined total of just three assists this campaign. According to WhoScored.com, Sigurdsson has impressed the most when it comes to passing – having averaged an 81.7% completion rate so far this campaign – while Walcott has accumulated the joint-most shots per game (1.5) along with the Icelandic midfielder.
Bernard, however, reigns supreme in terms of his dribble completion – amassing a better rate (1.3) than both Walcott and Sigurdsson. However, given their lack of goals and assists combined, some supporters have flocked to criticise the trio and insist they must do better – along with other players like Alex Iwobi. Toffees fans also took it upon themselves to make suggestions over better playing positions for a few seemingly out of form individuals whilst also lambasting the club’s past recruitment.
