Loads of Everton fans have been buzzing as Manchester United journalist Peter Harding has claimed that the Merseyside club are close to agreeing a deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team for Sergio Romero.
According to Harding, a loan offer is on the table, but the Red Devils would prefer to sell him on a permanent basis given that they already have David De Gea and Dean Henderson currently on their books.

However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will apparently face competition from Marcelo Bielsa’s newly-promoted Leeds United as well as West Ham United.
With a rather impressive 12 clean sheets in 17 matches for MUFC over all competitions in the 2019/20 term, coupled with the concession of only five goals, as per Transfermarkt, Romero may well turn out to be a good addition to the Blues if they can get his signature across the dotted line and he would certainly add competition for Jordan Pickford.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful buzzed upon reading the news on Twitter, with one EFC supporter even branding the 33-year old Argentine as ‘class’:

He’s a must buy in my opinion. Could walk straight into #1 spot and push Pickford to work harder for a bit!
